IMS Editor is the software for primarly use by the measurers to edit, store and distribute IMS measurement data. It is completely compatible with ORC Manager, the software used by the rating officers for production of the ORC International and ORC Club certificates as well as its designer's verison that inculdes complete calculations under the ORC VPP (Velocity Prediction Program).

The IMS Editor covers all IMS measurements including complete sails and measurement inventories and declared rig controls and other data. A tooltip contains information about each field. It can be used for complete or partial measurement with easy option to "merge" measured data to the exisiting boat data. Measurers can print all or partial amounts of data as a formal measurement record, and submit the data by e-mail to the rating officers and preserve the signed papers for the record. Owners may submit some particular data to the designers having ORC VPP software for testing purposes.

The IMS Editor is completely free for download. Just enter your name and e-mail and you will be redirected to the download page. While registering for IMS Editor donwload you will also be added to the ORC mailing list.

The latest IMS Editor is 2012 version fully compatible with ORC Manager 2012 and include new features such as:

• Implemented a jib/genoa and spinnaker drawing utility, to show a scaled diagram of these sails. Accessible from the File menu, and from the toolbar. Individual sail drawing is accessible from the sails' inventory tab.
• From now on there's no limit in the number of active sails in the sails inventory. The certificate displays the biggest active sails of each category that fit in the availabe space of the appendix.
• Added VCG in the measurement inventory.
• Calculation of deductible weights, LCG and VCG from the measurement inventory, to reach lightship condition.
• Improvements in the measurements' validation
